Simply Startling Statistics

Look at the graph below and you’ll find out why we are looking for funding to keep our church plant going and growing. It saddens me to see so much helplessness in the world. Murders in our homes, churches and schools, 7000 civilians murdered in Mexico in a short period of time. Kidnappings, depression, economic troubles. Why aren’t more people turning to Jesus for the answers to life’s problems? People want to turn to Jesus but sometimes Christians or churches do something to turn people off. Seriously, think about it. I know I’ve done that to unchurched people before. But let’s change things right now. This site is dedicated to helping congregations reverse the trend of a growing unchurched popluation (see chart below/source: Dave T. Olson). Through our consulting work which is paid by donations only, we hope to keep our church plant going with much needed cash infusions while helping struggling or searching congregtations come up with answers to help their communities.

Existing churches need to grow. We can help. New churches need to be planted. We can encourage you to plant. New people are yearning for Jesus. The Church Consulting Business

I think it is safe to say church consulting is a multi-million dollar  business. As these businesses are run by Christians, typically a percentage of their profits are given back to God through donations to the local churches of each individual consultant or those of the consultant firms’ owners. A typical percentage is at least 10% and possibly more.

At  B. Thomas Consulting, 100% of all money donated to us for consulting work goes directly to support Zach’s House, a network of microchurches in Dallas-Ft. Worth. Your donations help support the following activities:  a weekly nursing home worship service called the Heartland Church, a bi-weekly pizza and prayer group that meets in a local pizzeria with postmoderns,  a group that helps feed the homeless, various “better man” and “better woman” groups, community gatherings such as football games and community picnics, canned good drives, a Starbucks bread ministry to area community servants such as emergency workers and nurses, personal and group Bible studies in apartments, houses, McDonalds and Starbucks. Money from B. Thomas Consulting will soon help support anger management seminars,  given by a licensed Christian counselor, offered at local apartment complexes.

Our consulting and PR services are especially targeted towards smaller congregations of the Stone Campbell (restoration) Movement. If you have heard the word “missional,” or have contemplated the idea of “reaching into the lives of others,” we will work well together. If you are planting or are considering beginning a network of simple faith communities or microchurches, we need to talk. About Us

B. Thomas Consulting consists of Brian Humek, church planter and microchurch network leader. That’s it. However, depending on the complexity of your need, I have a network of ministers, elders, missiologists, church planters and hundreds of unchurched friends, family and acquaintances I speak with on a regular basis that help me have a unique view other consultants may not possess. 

B. Thomas Consulting exisits for two reasons, to help your congregation reach those who have no relationship with Jesus and while doing so, receive donations for our current church planting work.  Please remember, the unchurched people in your community are not targets, projects or objects and they should not be treated as such.

Please recognize that Jesus, when he physically walked this world in the beginning of the first century, hung out quite a bit with tax collectors, prostitutes, and other undesirable people. The stories related in the Bible about his encounters with undesriables should be studied closely by church leaders today. It should be understood that Jesus went to people. He didn’t sit on a rock, waiting for people, with a sign near by that read, “The Church of Me.” A Bible verse which greatly influences the work of B. Thomas Consulting is this, ” Where two or three have come together in my name, I am there among them.” Matthew 18:20.
