Late this afternoon and into this evening, Mary Ann and I were house hunting. Of course, to anyone who knows about us and our struggles would be shocked to think of us as house hunters. This hunt wasn’t for us but for our friends Chris and Vicki. I looked on the internet this afternoon for houses and they came over and the hunt began. They fell in love with a house near the Methodist church in downtown. Mary Ann and I did too. We’ve even looked at it in the past when we actually were house hunting. We are praying that God will bless them with this house. We talked about having a small group meet there. We even talked later this evening about our plans for a monthly worship which could possibly take place in the chapel near their home. We spent about three hours driving all around Irving looking at homes, but none were as nice as the house on the big lot with the adjoining field which we charmingly call “the little house on the prairie.” I can picture it now, the good that God can do in people’s lives at that home through authentic conversation, Bible study, and love. Dear God, all I can say is, if it is your will, please let all of this happen, if not in that house, in another.
– Peace y’all!
